Open Monuments Day Former Augustinusschool and Heemtuin

During Open Monuments Day you are warmly welcome to step into a piece of living Geleen history. The former Sint-Augustinusschool and the heritage garden are specially opening their doors for the occasion, with a photo exhibition by Oset and the ongoing presentation 'Romans and ancient vegetables', including a tasting. Members of the Heemkundevereniging Geleen are on hand to show you around. Wander through the monumental corridors with glazed panelling and admire the stepped gables with restored weather vanes from 1915 and 1920. This striking complex, designed by Egide Meijers-C
