The Selfkantmusical 2.0 'Oh wie Heimat ist das Grenzland' is, after 'einmal Niederlande und zurück' in 2023, the second border-region musical. The idea arose from the song contest that searched for the most beautiful Heimat song in the Selfkant – the song 'dat plaate Lanjd' won the competition in the village hall in Saeffelen. Initiator Heinz Eschweiler saw connecting the Heimat songs from the entire border region as the starting point for the Selfkantmusical 2.0 'Oh wie Heimat ist das Grenzland'.
