Three Countries in One Day
Stand in NL, BE and DE at once, climb the tower above it, get lost in a giant hedge maze and coast down through the highest forest of the country.
Vaals is where the Netherlands runs out — upwards. At the Drielandenpunt you can hop between three countries in one stride, then see all of them at once from the Wilhelmina tower. The hedge labyrinth next door is genuinely hard (allow an hour and some family diplomacy). Roll back down through the Vijlenerbos forests, stopping where the woods open up over the Geul valley: the Netherlands' only mountain view.
